Baghdad - Arab Today
Iraq and the European Union signed on Tuesday a grant agreement worth 86 million euros to finance development in areas liberated from Daesh terrorists.
The agreement was signed by Iraqi Minister of Planning Salman al Jamili and EU Ambassador Patrick Simonnet.
The Iraqi minister said the agreement is the third with Iraq since 2015, pointing out the two other agreements dealt with education and criminal justice support.
He said the liberation operations will be followed by reconstruction operations and efforts to dry up financing to terrorist groups.
