European Union Ambassador in Cairo James Moran says he is ready to contribute with 7.5 million euros to the projects of preserving the Egyptian cultural heritage.

Moran made the pledge during his meeting with Antiquities Minister Mamdouh el Damati on Monday.

The two sides discussed means of boosting cooperation between Egypt and the EU countries in the fields of antiquities and heritage preservation.

The EU diplomat praised the Antiquities Ministry's efforts in protecting Egyptian heritage.
