Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs Nasser Judeh on Friday discussed with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov the latest developments in Syria in general and Aleppo in particular.
In a telephone conversation, the two ministers underlined the importance of implementing the ceasefire decision in Aleppo in particular and Syria in general.
The two ministers also noted the need to find a political solution to the Syrian crisis and to continue cooperation and coordination between Jordan and Russia to achieve this goal.
In a related context, Judeh made another phone call with his Egyptian counterpart Samih Shokri in which they discussed the latest developments in the Middle East and the need to implement the ceasefire in Aleppo.
Judeh and Shokri also discussed developments of the Palestinian issue and efforts being exerted to re-launch serious and effective peace talks between the Palestinians and the Israelis. These talks must be launched within a set timeframe and lead to the establishment of a viable Palestinian state according to the two-state solution.
