Foreign Ministers of the Group of Seven (G7) nations on Sunday began two-day talks in Hiroshima, a city devastated by a US atomic bomb in 1945, anxious to show their solidarity in tackling nuclear disarmament, terrorism and maritime security in the South China Sea. 
"I hope that a strong message of peace, stability and prosperity will be sent out to the world at the Hiroshima G-7 foreign ministers' meeting," Japanese Foreign Minister Fumio Kishida, who will chair the annual talks, said. 
Noting that the meeting is being held this year in Hiroshima, Kishida said he hoped the talks would be an opportunity "to send out a strong message toward a world without nuclear weapons," Kyodo news agency reported. 
The Group of seven is a group consisting of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
