Representatives of GCC Ministries of Interior held a meeting today in Bahrain to study the establishment of a GCC police force. Their meeting is an implementation to the proposals of the 30th meeting of the GCC Ministers of Interior in the United Arab Emirates last December, which included the recommendation to study the proposal to establish a GCC police force, within the belief of the necessity to achieve security cooperation between the GCC countries, in accordance with the current challenges. In the two-day meeting, the participating representatives are discussing the foundations and principles to achieve a unified GCC vision to establish a police force that aims to consolidate security and stability in the countries involved.
