The German government plans to form a task unit specialized in Syria because of the tragic developments in that country The German foreign ministry announced in a press statement today that a task unit on Syria will integrate the functions of the different ministries with regard to Syrian affairs. The new unit’s functions also includes preparation for the period after the potential fall of the current Syrian regime.
