Hamas political chief Khalid Mashaal has strongly condemned the attack which killed 16 Egyptian police officers in the Sinai peninsula and stressed that Hamas is concerned about the security of Egypt. This came during a telephone conversation with Egyptian President Mohammed Mursi on Monday. During the call, Mashaal offered his condolences to the Egyptian people and to the families of the victims.
