Detainee Reyad al-Amour on Wednesday suspended his hunger strike after he was transferred to hospital, Palestinian Prisoner Society lawyers said. Lawyers Yousef Matia and Shireen Nasser said al-Amour was taken to the Assaf Haroveh Hospital for medical tests. He was on hunger strike to demand medical treatment for heart disease. Al-Amour, from Bethlehem, has been requesting that Israeli doctors replace a broken device needed to treat his heart disease for two years, Palestinian Prisoner Society lawyer Jawad Boulus said Tuesday.
