Israeli authorities opened Thursday the Karem Abu Salem crossing, South Eastern Rafah, to allow the entry of around 320 trucks loaded with supplies for both commercial and private sectors and building materials for UNRWA projects. Gaza border official Raed Fattouh said that limited amounts of cooking gas in addition to transport diesel fuel and Qatari industrial fuel for Gaza's only power plant will be pumped through the Karem abu Salem crossing. The State of Qatar has agreed to supply the Gaza Strip with 30 million liters of industrial fuel to operate the sole power plant in Gaza for two months.
