Israeli occupation authorities opened Sunday the Karam Abu Salem commercial crossing for the introduction of 290 trucks from the public and private sector, pumping limited amounts of Qatari gas into a power plant in Gaza. Occupation authorities have opened the crossing and 280-290 trucks are due to enter through the crossing laden with assistant materials, in addition to goods for the commercial, agricultural and transport sectors, Chairman of the Coordinating Committee of Gaza's Supplies Raed Fattouh said. He added that among the trucks were 30 new vehicles, 12 trucks loaded with cement as well as metals and materials for construction, and 60 trucks for relief agency work. Limited quantities of cooking gas will be pumped in addition to Qatari industrial diesel. The Isreali occupation had closed the crossing over the past two days under the pretext of the weekend, preventing the entry of goods and aid to the Strip under siege.
