Occupied Jerusalem mayor Nir Barakat plans on building a Jewish settlement district near the eastern Abu Dees village which will hold 250 settlements. According to Israeli weekly newspaper (Jerusalem), Barakat speculated the plan last week with members of the municipal council, indicating that the district will extend over tens of acres of land. In promotion of the project, the mayor is drawing plans to develop a thousand apartments for Arab residents in Issawiya and Arab Sawahra and Ras al-Amud and Sur Baher.
