Israel\'s military is concerned about a Palestinian sniper operating from Gaza\'s border, the Israeli news site Walla reported Friday. Israeli army officials believe a professional sniper is responsible for three incidents of gunfire targeting Israeli farmers and soldiers on foot patrol in recent days, Walla said. A senior officer in Israel\'s Gaza battalion told Walla the rogue sniper was not thought to be affiliated to Hamas. Hamas forces are also patrolling the border searching for the sniper, the officer said. The sniper is highly professional and able to shoot his targets from hundreds of meters, he added. On Thursday, an army spokesman said a Palestinian sniper opened fire toward an Israeli farmer east of Khan Younis. Print
