Israeli Transport Minister Israel Katz said that Israel must impose its sovereignty on all Jewish settlements in the West Bank, in response to the on-going reconciliatory steps between the main Palestinian factions, Fatah and Hamas. In a statement to Israeli Radio, the Israeli minister, a hardliner from Netanyahu\'s right-wing Likud party, said that \"Israel must ensure the safety of its citizens\" in face of Hamas. He also called upon his country to take the necessary to ensure that the \"Jewish population in the West Bank has access to all corners of the state of Israel.\"
