Sporadic confrontations erupted dawn Tuesday between the Israeli occupation army and residents of al-Fawar refugee camp south of al-Khalil city in the West Bank, following a raid conducted by a number of military vehicles on camp neighborhoods. According to local sources, youths threw stones at Israeli patrols, while the occupation was launched gas and sound bombs within residential neighborhoods striking fear among women and children. The occupation withdrew after that and no injuries were reported among citizens, the sources added. Other army forces raided town Halhoul town northern al-Khalil and roamed the streets and neighborhoods for hours. Also, occupation forces set up a checkpoint on Halhul Bridge where soldiers checked citizens’ identification cards and searched their vehicles.
