Twelve Israeli soldiers have been arrested for helping smugglers to bring drugs from Egypt's Sinai into Israel, the Israeli news site Ynet reported Monday. The soldiers are suspected of tipping off smugglers about army patrols along the Egypt-Israel border as well as selling drugs in Israel, Ynet said. Israel arrested 15 people altogether, including three civilians, the report said, adding that some suspects allegedly sold 800,000 shekels ($205,000) of cocaine, heroin, hashish and ecstasy in Israel.
