The Italian Minister of Defense, Giampaolo di Paola, concluded on Monday his visit to Lebanon where he met with President Michel Sleiman, Speaker of the House Nabih Berri, and other senior Lebanese officials for talks over general developments in Lebanon and the region. Earlier during the day, di Paola paid an inspection visit to the Italian contingent working within UNIFIL in the village of Chamaa-Tyre, Lebanon’s National News Agency (NNA) reported. Upon arrival, the Italian official was welcomed by the commander of UNIFIL, Paolo Serra, and a number of soldiers and generals.
