Beirut - Arabstoday
Jordan has instructed its officials to postpone or cancel trips to Lebanon, a local Jordanian newspaper reported Thursday. Alarab Alyawm newspaper, quoting a senior official, said the Jordanian government issued the instructions after advice from its foreign minister that all relevant sides cancel trips to Lebanon “at the present time.” The source did not provide information on the reason behind the decision. Last month, several Arab Gulf countries issued travel advisories to their citizens warning them against visiting Lebanon and for those in the country to leave. The Arab countries, including Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates, said the decision was prompted by an increase in the number of security incidents in Lebanon. The Daily Star .
