Jordan's Government on Thursday condemned the massacres against Muslims in Burma, calling on the international community to shoulder its responsibilities in providing the necessary protection to civilians and to prevent any future recurrence of such aggressions, Petra news agency reported. Minister of State for Media Affairs and Communications and Government Spokesperson Samih Maaytah urged to find a radical solution for displaced Muslims in Burma, integrate them into the community and take their interests into account within the national reconciliation process. Maaytah denounced negative statements made by some Burmese government officials against Myanmar Muslims, which, he says, create religious tension, endanger lives of innocent people and encourage more violence.
