Jordanian Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh met on Thursday with UN High Commissioner for Refugees Antonio Guterres, currently visiting Amman. They discussed the issue of Syrian refugees in Jordan, and the mechanism of dealing with the situation, in the light of the growing number of refugees due to the violence in Syria. Syrian refugees in Jordan are estimated at more than 120,000 according to statements by the Jordanian prime minister. The recent surge in violence in Syria has led to an increasing flow of refugees into neighboring countries, including Jordan.
