Moscow hopes that the ongoing intra-Syrian negotiations in Geneva will be efficient, Interfax quoted Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov as saying in a lecture at the Mongolian Foreign Ministry.

"We are expecting the intra-Syrian negotiations, which are resuming in Geneva these days, to be efficient," he said.

The Russian Aerospace Forces' operation in Syria created favorable conditions for "the promotion of the inclusive intra-Syrian dialogue, and the real peace process in the interests of the political settlement of this conflict, under the UN aegis and for the sake of Syria's preservation as a single, integral, sovereign and secular state," Lavrov said.
