Khaled Sleiman Mahmoud, a Lebanese citizen, was abducted Tuesday from the Akkar village of Mashta Hassan by at least three Syrian soldiers who entered Lebanon through the Wadi Khaled area, security sources told the Daily Star. Kidnapping cases of Lebanese citizens have gradually increased since the start of the unrest in Syria 15 months ago and have been happening on a near daily basis over the last two months.
