Lebanese Defence Minister met here today with his Italian counterpart Giampaolo Di Paola who is currently visiting Lebanon. Talks during the meeting dealt with the latest developments in Lebanon and the region, in addition to the situation in south Lebanon and cooperation with the United Nations Interim Forces in Lebanon (UNIFIL) which Italy is currently commanding. The Italian minister praised the existing cooperation and coordination between the Lebanese Army and UNIFIL underlining the need to continue and enhance such cooperation.
