Kuala Lumpur - QNA
The Malaysian government has agreed Monday to extradite an Iranian on suspicion of his involvement in a bombing which targeted Israelis in Thailand. Masoud Sedaghatzadeh was arrested on February 15 at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport, as part of a group of three blamed for involvement in producing explosives that were allegedly directed at Israeli diplomats in Bangkok. Israel had accused Iran of plotting the attack as part of what it described as a terrorist campaign on Israel, but Iran has denied the accusation. The explosions in the Thai capital were part of a mid-February series of attacks against Israeli diplomatic targets, which also consisted of a bombing in India injuring an Israeli diplomat’s wife and driver, and an attempted bombing in Georgia. The events escalated tension between Israel and Iran.
