Malaysians in Syria have been advised to return home as the security situation in the country is likely to worsen and endanger safety. Malaysia\'s Foreign Ministry and Malaysia\'s embassy in Damascus also suggested that all Malaysians remain cautious and avoid non-essential travel, according to Malaysia\'s (Bernama) News Agency. \"The ministry also advises Malaysians to temporarily postpone visits to Syria until the situation improves,\" the ministry said in a statement. The Malaysian embassy also confirmed that all 168 registered Malaysians were safe and not involved in bomb blasts in central Damascus, killing 27 people and injuring 140 others. \"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs seeks the cooperation of Malaysians in Syria to register with the embassy,\" said the statement.
