Hamas chief in exile Khalid Mashaal led a delegation to Morocco on Sunday, meeting with government officials, a statement said. The group met president of the Moroccan government Abdul Ilah Bankiran and foreign minister Saad al-Din al-Othmani, together with other officials. Mashaal applauded Morocco for its support of the Palestinian struggle for human rights and liberation. Officials also discussed Palestinian reconciliation and events in the Middle East. The Hamas delegation was invited to participate in the seventh national conference of the justice and development party, the ruling party in Morocco.
