Military units taking part in “Velayat-90” war games marched in the presence of the Chairman of Armed Forces Joint Chiefs of Staff Major General Hassan Firouzabadi on Tuesday. The march manifested the might and power of the Iranian Navy both in Iran’s territorial waters and in the international arena. Various kinds of warship destroyers including “Jamaran”, missile-carrying frigates and several kinds of both heavy and light submarines took part in the march. Iranian Navy warplanes, helicopters, special units and logestics units were also present. Iran’s naval drills, which concluded Monday evening, began in the Hormuz Strait, including waters in the Sea of Oman and free waters in the Indian Ocean up to Gulf of Aden.
