Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari called on his citizens to be cautious especially in the crowded areas after the suicide attack in a mosque in north eastern the country leaving 22 persons dead and 18 others injured.

Buhari wrote on social networking website twitter " I am dismayed by the news of a bomb attack on innocent worshipers in a mosque in Maiduguri this morning".

The attack was carried out by two suicide bombers where one of them exploded herself inside the mosque while the other outside it.

Nobody claimed responsibility for the bombing.
