Seoul - Arab Today
South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff said Monday that Pyongyang fired several short-range missiles at around 3:19 p.m. from the region near the eastern coastal city of Hamhung, South Hamgyong Province.
The short-range projectile is analyzed to have traveled about 200 kilometers, according to Korea's (KBS WORLD) radio.
The JCS said it is closely watching the North Korean military's moves and is maintaining military readiness.
The latest firing comes a day after South Korea's Ministry of Foreign Affairs raised concerns about safety regarding North's recent missile firing. The ministry on Sunday sent letters to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO)'s office in Canada and the International Maritime Organization(IMO)'s London office.
