Cairo - Arab Today
The Organization of Arab Peoples and Parliaments (OAPP) under Abdel Aziz Abdullah Thursday called on world countries to combat terrorism and wipe it out completely.
The call comes after the recent attacks that rocked an airport and a metro station in Brussels, leaving some 34 dead and hundreds injured.
In a statement, the OAPP asserted the importance of stepping up cooperation and coordination with Egypt based on of its chairmanship of the anti-terror committee at the UN Security Council and its significant role in chasing terror elements in the Sinai Peninsula.
Meanwhile, the OAPP welcomed the meeting of defense ministers of the Community of Sahel-Saharan States (CEN-SAD) held in Sharm El Shiekh and attributed the reason for picking Egypt to be the meeting's venue to its leading role in facing terrorism.
