The first meeting of the Omani-Iranian Strategic Consultative Committee was held here today. The meeting was co-chaired by Omani Foreign Undersecretary for Diplomatic Affairs Ahmed bin Youssuf Al-Hartith and Iranian Assistant Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Amir Abdalahyan. The two sides discussed a host of issues connected with bilateral relations and matters of mutual concern. The Strategic Consultative Committee was set up as per the memorandum of understanding signed between the two countries in 2009 during a visit Sultan Qaboos of Oman paid to Iran.
