Hebron - QNA
A number of Palestinians inhabiting \"al-Shohadaa\'\" street downtown al-Khalil (Hebron) have decided late Sunday to stay in the streets overnight, in response to the Israeli occupation intruding into their houses, attacking them, and destroying security cameras surrounding houses and inside them. One of the residents told Palestinian news agency (Ma\'an) that he decided to sleep in the street with his family because he considered it safer. He added that over 25 Israeli soldiers accompanied by police from the civil administration intruded into his brother\'s house with police dogs, which caused their children to panic. He explained that the forces allegedly destroyed security cameras used by residents to monitor settler attacks to pave way for them. The civil administration officer threatened the families, telling them that he represented law and security in the street and dismissing the need for cameras and added that he could come into houses at any time with no prior notice, indicated the Palestinian source. The \"al-Shohadaa\" street is located downtown al-Khalil and is completely controlled by Israeli security according to protocol. Occupation forces prevent Palestinians from travelling freely in the street unlike settlers. There are three Israeli settler bases in the street.
