The Armed Forces announced on Monday the finalization of all regulatory and security measures and preparations concerning the hosting of the 5th meeting of defense ministers of Community of the Sahel-Saharan States (CEN-SAD).

Under Egypt's presidency, more than 27 Arab and African countries are participating in the conference due to be held in Sharm El Sheikh on Tuesday and last for Friday. 

Delegations from a number of regional and international organizations are also taking part in the event.

The military said forces were deployed in Sharm El Sheikh to secure the streets and main entrances and exits of the city.
