Emmanuel Kamarianakis, Consul-General of Canada

H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras al-Khaimah, has received Emmanuel Kamarianakis, Consul-General of Canada in Dubai, accompanied by members of the organising committee of the Terry Fox Run, a charity race to support research on cancer disease, and Prof. Basel al-Ramadi from the UAE University.

The Ruler of Ras al-Khaimah handed over the money raised from the Terry Fox Run which was hosted by the Emirate of Ras al-Khaimah in February, to the delegation of the Faculty of Medicine, UAE University, to contribute to the support of cancer research projects at the university.

He also asserted that the race, which is held annually in the emirate, contributes to boost cooperation between the various institutions to encourage them to raise funds for cancer research diseases.

The Canadian Consul expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Highness the RAK Ruler for his support and sponsorship of charitable and humanitarian initiatives by hosting the Terry Fox Run in the emirate for the seventh year in a row.

The meeting was attended by a number of Sheikhs and senior officials.
