One civilian was killed and three injured in a roadside bombing some 170 kilometres north of Baghdad on Wednesday, Iraqi security sources said. The bomb struck a car carrying civilians in the province of Salah al-Din, the sources told dpa. The incident came one day after police said they had thwarted an attack by al-Qaeda operatives on government offices and a police station in the province.
