A Moscow court ordered the arrest of two senior Moscow region tax inspectorate officials, Rolan Batsuyev and Yelena Ovchinnikova, on Wednesday until February 6 on charges of the misappropriation of over $630,000, the Russian Legal Information Agency (RAPSI/rapsinews.com) reported from the courtroom. Investigators maintain that Batsuyev and Ovchinnikova were engaged in unlawful VAT refunding. They say they found evidence revealing that several apartments in Moscow and some properties in Slovenia and Spain were registered under the names of some of Batsuyev\'s relatives. Three million rubles ($94,400) were taken from Ovchinnikova.
