Russian Deputy Foreign Minister and Russia\'s chief nuclear negotiator, Sergei Ryabkov said that Moscow is awaiting the resumption of talks between Iran and the Group 5+1. \'Although the exact date of Iran-G5+1 talks has not been specified, it will most probably take place in April,\' the Russian diplomat said. However, Ryabkov said that the venue for holding the meeting between Group 5+1 and Iran is not known as yet. Earlier on Thursday, Russia\'s permanent representative to UN, Vitaly Churkin expressed hope that resumption of talks between Iran and G5+1 could help resolve the prevailing problems related to Iran\'s nuclear programme. Russia, unlike the West, is against any measures taken outside the framework of the UN against the independent countries like Iran and it emphasizes on the need for talks aimed at settling down the important international issues instead of using unilateral and bullying approaches. Other senior Russian officials like President-elect Vladimir Putin, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov have also shown their opposition to the West\'s irrational approach vis-à-vis Iran, as well as imposing sanctions on Iran. Furthermore, Russia has tried hard over past months to help to resumption of talks between Iran and G5+1.
