South Korea and Vietnam have agreed to strengthen cooperation in national defense. South Korea\'s Vice Defense Minister Lee Yong-gul reached the agreement with Vietnamese Deputy Minister of National Defense Nguyen Chi Vinh in Hanoi, according to Korea\'s (KBS WORLD) website. As part of the efforts, the two countries will take turns to host vice ministerial-level defense strategy meetings on a regular basis. South Korea and Vietnam will also strengthen cooperation in training officers and sign a memorandum of understanding on quality assurance. The MoU will serve as a foundation for South Korea to export military equipment to Vietnam.
