The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has called on the international community to undertake its responsibilities in putting an end to the ongoing savageries committed by the Syrian regime against its people. The remarks came during the Saudi Cabinet's session chaired by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia late Monday. The Cabinet warned against the deteriorating human situation in Syria on the backdrop of the massacres, violence, and increasing number of the displaced, a statement following the session said. Additionally, talks reviewed a number of reports on regional, Arab, and international developments including a report on the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories. The Cabinet noted Israel's practices aiming to change the geographic and demographic nature of Jerusalem, its ongoing violations of international law, its refusal to abide by its pledges to stop settlements, and the blockade imposed on Palestinian people throughout occupied territories. These practices manifest its reluctance to abide by the international community's will, and its circumvention of international legitimacy decisions, the Cabinet asserted. The Saudi Cabinet stressed the importance of uniting international efforts to provide the Palestinian people with protection and end all Israeli practices against them.
