Saudi newspapers on Tuesday called for boycott of Iraq\'s Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki and his government. The attack was launched after the PM criticized the kingdom and Qatar for their calls to arm Syrian rebels. Maliki said Baghdad rejected any arming of Syrian rebels and the process “to overthrow the Assad regime,” AFP reports. The call to arm Syrian rebels “will leave a greater crisis in the region,” he stressed. Some Saudi media argue that Maliki appears more concerned with the rise of the Sunnis to power in Damascus.
