Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov discussed with his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry, the settlement of the Syrian crisis and normalization of the humanitarian situation there.

In a phone conversation on Monday, the Russian foreign ministry said the two ministers exchanged views about the situation in the Middle East and North Africa region, focusing on problems of the Syrian settlement especially the necessity to normalize the humanitarian situation.
