President Abdel Fattah El Sisi held a phone conversation with his Cypriot counterpart Nicos Anastasiades to follow up the situation of the Egyptian plane hijacked this morning.

The EgyptAir flight departed from Alexandria’s Borg Al Arab airport and was scheduled to land in Cairo at 7:15 a.m. but was hijacked and forced to land in Larnaca, Cyprus.
