The Russian Security forces have prevented a string of terror attacks after defusing nine bombs planted in the city of Nalchik in Russia's north Caucasus, Russia's National Anti-Terror Committee said on Wednesday. The Committee said in a statement that the total mass of home-made explosive was over 100 kg of TNT equivalent, according to Russia's (RIA Novosti) News Agency. According to explosives experts, an explosion of that power would have destroyed a whole city block.
