Visiting Togolese President Faure Gnassingb voiced support for President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's initiative to deepen joint African cooperation with a view to attaining the development goals of African nations.
Underscoring his keenness to boost cooperation with Egypt, Gnassingb echoed Sisi's calls for activating inter-African relations.
During his meeting with Egyptian Businessmen's Association, the Togolese president welcomed cooperation with the Egyptian private sector in a bid to strengthen the bilateral economic and commercial ties.
Gnassingb, meanwhile, praised Egypt's announcement on setting up a ministerial committee meant to boost cooperation with African countries.
Ha also hailed the establishment of a similar committee by the Federation of Egyptian Industries (FEI).
As for proposals on organizing a visit by Egyptian businessmen to Togo, Gnassingb welcomed such proposed visits as a launching pad for bilateral commercial cooperation.
