Sten Tolgfors insists nothing was wrong with the deal to build a facility for anti-tank weapons in Saudi Arabia which comes in accordance with a 2005 military agreement between the two countries which was renewed in 2010. Tolgfors was criticized for avoiding a public discussion on the deal. Two criminal investigations were initiated on whether a company involved was set up to avoid direct links between the Swedish military and the Saudi regime and was a leak of information that led to the scandal a breach of national security.
