The Tourism Ministry said on Monday that it is investigating the injury of the daughter of a German tourist at a hotel in Al Haram, Giza, and lack of medical services at the facility.

“The ministry is following up the performance of all hotels and tourist facilities, it said in a statement.

The preliminary probe into the incident revealed that the manager of the hotel had phoned the guest to inquire after his injured daughter, it added.

The manager proposed to compensate the daughter’s family with a free of charge stay at the hotel at any time in the future, it said.
