London - KUNA
The UK government announced here Thursday that it would provide 2.5 million pounds worth of relief aid to Syrian people. International Development Secretary Andrew Mitchell called on the Syrian regime to allow relief aid to reach Syrians without obstruction, indicating that Britain would facilitate the transportation of UN aid workers to make sure help is delivered. Part of the funds would be allocated for food and medicine while the rest would be used to fund transportation and the establishment of a UN office for distribution, said the official.
