UN envoy to Libya Martin Kobler met on Friday with outgoing member of the UN-backed Presidential Council of the Government of National Accord Omar al Aswad, in addition to representatives of northern, western and southern Libya.

In a statement posted on his Facebook page, Kobler said he met with Aswad and urged him to return to the Presidential Council, noting that it is important to "give the city of Zintan the role it deserves".

Zintan is one of the biggest cities in north western Libya.
