UN Secretary General's special envoy to Yemen Jamal bin Omar and his accompanying delegation left Sanaa on Sunday, ending several days visit to Yemen. Bin Omar's visit to Yemen came to follow up consultations with all parties to evaluate the political and security situation in the country, in addition to assess the implementation of the UN Security Council Resolution 2014 on Yemen and the power transfer initiative brokered by the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). The UN envoy will present a report in this regard to the Security Council during its session, due to be held on Tuesday.
