Jerusalem - MA'AN
A tent set up in solidarity with Palestinian prisoners in an Israeli town was torched over the weekend, Israeli media reported. The protest tent was erected by residents in Palestinian town Tira, in central Israel, to support some 2,000 Palestinians jailed in Israel who launched a mass hunger-strike in recent weeks, the Israeli news site Ynet said. Late Saturday, unknown assailants burned down the structure, protest organizers told Ynet, vowing to re-erect the tent.
