Petroleos de Venezuela SA, the country’s state oil company, has said a worker has been killed and three others injured in an explosion at a major refinery. The explosion, causing a fire, was then brought under control. Refining operations resumed shortly thereafter, a Petroleos statement said. Nearby residents were evacuated as a precaution. The cause of the incident is still being investigated.
